american-shuttle-service-dcaThere will be many changes coming for American as it integrates US Airways into its operations. One change we thought would be impactful to our travelers is the US Airways Shuttle becoming the American Airlines Shuttle, which was effective October 17, 2015. The shuttle will continue to operate between Boston Logan International (BOS), New York LaGuardia (LGA) and Reagan National Airport (DCA).

Here are the specific changes travelers taking the shuttle may notice at DCA:

  • Shuttle check-in will move from Terminal C to the Priority counter in Terminal B on the upper level.
  • Shuttle flights will begin departing from Terminal B (Gates 23-24).
  • Metro customers can check in and check bags on the north Metro bridge level.
  • Customers will only be able to purchase walk-up fares at the ticket counter at this time. American has stated that they will notify travelers when they become available again at the kiosk.
  • All US Airways curbside signs will be replace with American Airlines signs.

We will keep our travelers updated as changes continue to occur through the American Airlines/ US Airways integration.
